Keep Calm and Eat Shit.
I know I'm at least a year late on this, but it's time to start aborting people against their will. I reckon if we throw a pregnant woman down the stairs every time you see one of these inane slogans, eventually we'll stem the tide of dumbass entering the gene pool. What is everyone's fascination with this shit? Why do people keep going back to the early 20th century for all our memes and gimmicks? It's bullshit. Throw it away.
The original phrase was part of a 1939 propaganda campaign to raise morale amongst the British public. The poster was rediscovered and various companies are fighting over who gets to claim ownership of the trademark, based on the elusive trade origin. There's even a short "Story of Keep Calm and Carry On" video that sheds light on the modernization of the phrase and details surrounding it's mysterious discovery. Has everyone gone insane? Who the hell cares where this crap came from? I'll give you a clue. It started here:
It doesn't matter what you say, the least evocative the better. People lap this shit up. What's amazing is that for a picture with words involved; it tells you nothing. An entire sentence read and you might as well have scanned your eyes over a sausage (which has more substance than this tripe). No Keep Calm and Carry On photo has ever inspired anyone.
Tired. Uninteresting. Worthless. Stop it.
